Perched on a rocky spur overlooking the Durance valley, Lauris is an authentic Provençal village of cobbled lanes and stone houses. Its 18th-century château is home to a conservatory of dye plants unique in Europe, cascading in terraces down the cliff. On the doorstep of the Luberon Regional Nature Park, 5 km from Lourmarin, it is the perfect base for hiking, local markets and discovering the real Provence.
